6. Place the glass pieces on the pattern on your work board.
Use metal push pins to hold the pieces in place. Make sure all the glass pieces fit your pattern; if any of them don’t fit, continue grinding them until they do.
7. Remove one piece of glass from the pattern at a time, apply 7⁄32-inch copper foil around the edges of each piece, and return it to the pattern (see Figure 8-20).

8. Flux the project’s corners and intersections, and tack solder the project pieces together; then remove the push pins.
